I believe photography is capturing feelings

We photograph sunsets that never come out and kids who stop the second we hit record. None of it does the moment justice, and we do it anyway — because we felt something and wanted to keep it.

I'm a photographer and a mom of two. I've been doing this since 2020, first in Virginia and now out of Arizona and California. Somewhere along the way, I stopped asking families what they were going to wear and started asking what they wanted to remember. The answer is usually something ordinary.
